4" Fern, Birdsnest Victoria

Birdsnest Ferns live their wild lives glommed onto tall trees in mossy perches in steamy, dripping, primeval rainforests. Beautiful Birdsnest Victoria is a hybrid from spores of the A. antiquum first invented and grown in Florida. Her bright, lime green, sword-like fronds are enlivened by regular, even waves along the edges, looking like underwater plants rippling in the current. Fronds have strong brown/green midribs, lime green veins and a leathery feel with a subtle sheen. Rising up and circling the center "birdsnest" of brown hairs and newborn baby fronds looking like lime green eggs, the fronds point up, then gently lower as new fronds appear, sometimes twisting to point randomly at things you can't see.
