Hachiya Persimmon Tree

Hachiya is the persimmon that transforms patience into extraordinary dessert fruit. Its large, acorn-shaped fruit colors from glowing orange to deep red-orange and must soften completely before eating; at that point, the astringency disappears and the flesh becomes luxuriously smooth, custardy, and intensely sweet.
