Japanese marimo moss balls are actually freshwater algae (Cladophora aegagropila). They are soft, fuzzy and super easy to care for. The size will vary but will average around 1-2" in diameter. Only needs artificial or indirect light and a water change every 2-3 weeks. No direct sun or fertilizer. Marimos can live for over a hundred years and they grow about 0.5cm per year.
