Mango Jelly Roll was a previously unknown cultivar that was discovered in a swamp in California. Ever the surprising plants, this fig tree was able to grow in a swamp despite the humid conditions that would ruin many other varieties. Mango Jelly Roll figs have tight eyes and good resistance to splitting, making them an ideal choice for wet growing environments. Mango Jelly Roll was discovered by the fig company, Sacred Origins.
The figs have a round shape and grow to large size. Inside the figs have red pulp with tropical flavors of mango and guava. The complex figs grow on trees with 5-lobed leaves. The leaves have long fingers and gently wavy margins. The leaves and fruits make for a very attractive plant!

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
